EuroLinc is our summer project intensive designed to impact a pioneering project (where the local vision is to see a discipleship movement among least reached people groups resulting in healthy churches) while strengthening and equipping believers to live a lifestyle following Jesus. Linc stands for Laboring the Nations for Christ. This year we had up to 20 people as part of our team with 9 different nationalities represented and came alongside the house church here in Stockholm. The diversity of our team enriched our lives and the work in many ways. Here are some snap shots.

One of the objectives of LINC serving in Stockholm was to help strengthen the DNA of our local house church so that a foundation can continue to be built seeing a healthy simple church network grow in northeast Stockholm among the refugees. Since Linc, we have been able to follow up with new friends. For example, we met ‘Adam’ who had moved to Sweden 8 months ago. After hearing about Jesus and what the gospel means, he continues to come to church and engage in conversations. Pray for him as he honestly seeks Jesus and wrestles through his own beliefs.
Finishing the PhD…
That is right! I am on track to graduate in December, which means finishing and handing in the dissertation in August. Yes, it is still an upward climb in writing and editing, but doable. Please pray for me and for this work that it would be something that would encourage and strengthen the church. I continue to be humbled and learn from the volunteers that were willing to be interviewed and thankful for the journey this continues to be.
What’s Coming…
- Today I leave for a conference with the simple church network in Sweden (Katalyst Nätverk). We will be maybe 100 people getting to fellowship and encourage one another in what God is doing throughout the country. Pray for me as I finish preparations for a talk I will give on Friday.
- The beginning of September, our local house church will have our first missions weekend joining a pioneering work in Örebro, a neighborhood 2 hours from Stockholm. Pray we can be an encouragement to the local team and have favor in Vivalla.
- In August, a team from Tennessee will join me for a week engaging the work and learning what partnership could look like.
- In September, I will get the opportunity to host two teams from local Swedish organizations for a total of 3 weeks.
- In October, I will travel to join our GCE Advisory Team. This leadership teams meet biannually to check in how the network is doing in Europe and what needs to happen to support and strengthen the work. Most of our churches have limited resources and man power and it is a gift to get to serve the larger body of believers in Europe.
- Financial Update. The remaining need for the year to cover all costs of teams, trips and ministry expenses is $2300. If you would like to help meet this need, click here.
Thank you for continuing to journey with me. We have lots to look forward to! Happy Summer!
I would love to hear what you are thinking! Feel free to share!
