Before getting into the adventure that lies ahead, I’d like to take a moment to celebrate 2025. I have selected a couple of pictures that provide glimpses of how God has been at work through this work.

During park outreach, one of our visitors is a young Somalian man who has now become a regular part of our weekly house church. Still seeking truth and wrestling through his faith, here he has brought his girlfriend to meet us. There is a win when trust is built to another level where friends start to bring the important people in their life to share community with us. We did not get to see the girlfriend again until they both accepted the invitation to our house church’s Thanksgiving celebration, which strengthened friendship with all of us.
And yet, there is one more aspect in this picture to celebrate. This work provides a platform families to learn how to live on mission together. It can be amazing what comes to mind when people try to consider what does it mean to have a successful ministry work. For me, getting opportunities to inspire and equip believers to live out kingdom values in all stages of life while intentionally brining the gospel in word and deed to the least reached people groups is a huge win!

“I and Samuel was praying and I thanked God for the fruit of your investment in us that is still showing, and there is so much more I want to tell you about the people God has recently put in our lives!”
Getting this text from Kristin certainly encouraged my heart and I hope yours as well. Praying regularly for Luleå, the city we started in, and this family continues to be a gift. This family is devoted to our Lord and living out biblical principles among their community. I look forward to seeing what God will build in and through them. Keep praying for Luleå.

Looking forward…
As you know, with everything going on God has opened an opportunity for a sabbatical this season. To add to celebrating for 2025, in preparing to step away for a few months, it meant handing over responsibilities. In this kind of work, there is the goal of working yourself out of a job and getting more people to engage, which has happened. As I have usually been involved with pioneering projects, this time is being used to get time and space to process, learn from what has been, and seek the Lord for how to move forward. We don’t want to just keep doing the same thing to stay busy with activity. Getting time to step away and really listen for how God wants to shape the work ahead is a gift. Besides a debriefing conference, there will be opportunities for some vision trips to a few places where we have started new works. The prayer is God will either affirm Stockholm is still home base or a moving home base to a new location. I appreciate prayers during this season!
Financial update. There is always the praise in how God continues to provide for this work together. It is humbling and rewarding. There is the prayer that everyone partnering in prayer and finances would be excited about how they are tangibly investing in kingdom work to the least reaching. Also a praise for the almost $4000 that came in during December!
The need that remains…I am $73 shy of getting to 100% of monthly support and in need of $10,000 in one-time gifts. One time gifts goes towards mission trips, training and equipping both locally and with travel, pioneering projects, and the annual leadership conference. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Galatians 6.9)”
May we be inspired to continue to seek to know Him more deeply this year and anticipate what He will do in and through us for His name’s sake!
I would love to hear what you are thinking! Feel free to share!
