The first of five team

Incredibly thankful for the teams H2O Church in Kent, Ohio continually send! A team of 9 landed last Saturday ready and eager to engage the community with the gospel. Giving thanks for their hearts, attitudes and willingness. Getting out to meet people yesterday in 30-something degree weather was brave, yet everyone paired up, went out and had good conversations.
Currently, the team is preparing for tonights activities, half of the team is going to host a kids club where we will make Jesus bracelets and decorate easter eggs. Pray for the continued potential for a middle school youth group to be formed. The other half will start making coffee soon to set up a coffee table with water and dates for those headed to prayer before breaking the Ramadan fast. Pray for that group to be salt and light displaying God’s kindness to others.
The rest of the week includes more prayer walks and engaging people in the neighborhood, hosting a Passover meal on Thursday evening, and team times that involved training to be better equipped in disciple-making. Please pray for them!

Having waves of teams provides energy, laborers and opportunity for what could be. There is a handful of young women coming the first two weeks of May for a split missions/vacation trip. Excited to get to labor with Grace, who I have known since she was 7 or 8 when I first met her in a local home group. Now a graduate, Grace will come with friends to labor in a work she has been supporting for most her life!

May 18-26 a group from Utah will hit the ground. A few families with kids and some extra adults will be prepared to engage families in the parks looking to build bridges and find people open to seeking God. Again, looking to do activities with children in hoping to see that Middle School group launch.

The last two weeks of June, the summer project part 2 will also be here in Stockholm. Then a potential team from my own sending church, Riverbend, sending a group in August. Having people come and labor with is a gift and a large piece of the work. The neighborhood provides a great opportunity for people to get a cross-cultural experience with europeans and muslims. It provides a schedule for spiritual development and training in who God created you to be. Thankful for the space God has given as a type of organic bible school/ministry center.

Reflection from home-visit. I continue to feel overwhelmed and humbled by how cared for I was. Every location cared for me intentionally, fed me, drove me around and took time to be with me. It is an incredible gift to get to live this life and have so many people not only partner with me in the gospel but take time to deepen relationship as well. May the Lord bless you a hundred-fold!

Financial Update. The ask at the end-of-the-year was to raise $10,000 in special gifts and $500 in monthly giving. Praise the Lord for a total of $10,920 and new supporters totaling $100 in monthly giving. Please continue to pray with me for new monthly support or another $5000 in special gifts to cover this need. If you’d like to answer that prayer or pass on the information to someone else, visit www.reliant.org/sarah.bedi.

Happy Easter! May the celebrations for this weekend encourage your faith, strengthen your hope and overflow your household with love!
