Happy Friday!!!

Good morning friends!!! Life is in full swing! The transition back is always rough for a few days as it is hard to leave family. I am very thankful for my amazing family and friends and time we get to share! After a few days of a bit pouting, I was able to re-engage life here and begin to kick off fellowship gatherings. I am thankful for a relatively warm January with temperatures between 2-16 F most days! The above picture is an ice sculpture in town that you can slide down! HedgeHogs are very popular lawn guests.

One Saturday, I had the opportunity to visit with the fellowship of believers in Kiruna. About four hours north, I had the most spectacular view of what cold winter could look like! The Mountain Church is a gathering of people from diverse backgrounds that just relaunched this past December. After a few years of battling for survival, there is great anticipation in what God will do. One of the men in the community is a Reindeer Herder. The Sami People are the indigenous people of Lapland. As far as I know there are very few Christians among this people group. It is exciting to learn more about the natives of the north and their customs!

Here is the building where I attend school every morning for three hours. My swedish is getting better, yet it feels very slow. I will take an exam on Feb. 12 which will allow me to go to the next level! I am now texting in Swedish and able to understand a bit more in conversations! Being attend to attend Swedish For Immigrants has been a great way to meet new friends from all over the world!

God continues to confirm that I am where I need to be for this chapter. Every gathering with students energizes me and builds anticipation to see the vision completed! We will see students graduate with a job and a vision equipped to start simple church in other lands. We will see multitudes of Swedes come to know and understand who God truly is!
