A change in seasons

2016-09-23-18-02-12I love how God has created different seasons that bring a variety of beauty and temperatures that also adds different flavors and activities to our lives. Fall always creates a desire to go hiking to enjoy the change of color in leaves and to bake everything pumpkin! To wonder what will the favorite halloween customs will be as well as the reminder of all that I am thankful for through November.

My life is also starting a new season. The past five weeks I have began to take steps in learning what this season looks like. Locally, I am excited to continue to get to know my new neighborhood. A handful of us have begun to meet on Wednesdays to pray that God would shift the atmosphere of this area. There are many battles that we know are won in prayer. The vision is to see new works start and we will seek His face to see how we can connect and see the gospel sown.  PRAY – for people of peace, opportunities to meet a need that would lead to living life with others, for the nations as 104 different nationalities live within a 3 mile radius of me.

ies-logoThe bi-vocational life has also started. I get to teach math to 7th graders in english in a bilingual school, International English School Company. It wasn’t something I thought I would be doing, but God put this job in my lap for many reason. It pays my taxes and certainly helps financially, but more than that I am getting to cross deeper into Swedish culture. It has already opened more doors connecting and relating to people. It has been ten years since I have been in the classroom, and I am thankful for a skill that can be used anywhere. PRAY – a coworker whom I got to share my story with this past week, opportunities to share, connecting with new people, that I can make math make sense to 13/14 year olds!

Tuesday I will fly to Germany and get to meet with leaders who are in the front line trenches. Thankful for the opportunity to learn best practices and here first hand what is happening in major cities. PRAY – The core objective and expectation is to see strategic engagement and collaborations result from our meetings.

There are moments where it would seem I would like to have 80 hours in a day to engage with full potential every idea and dream that has been stirred with the start of this new season. Living in reality, I am thankful for the gift of time and limitations. I believe that the Lord will continue to lead me to walk out this vision step by step. Thankful you are along for the ride!  [This ministry is made possible by donations. If you would like to join the ministry team in making it possible, click here!]
